It’s hard to write without worrying about the reaction of other people. The reactiveness of the internet cripples the possibilities of writing. Increasingly the kinds of conversations that I have in private are impossible to have on the internet; in public conversation, different kinds of truth is allowed — there is a plurality which is, ironically and counter-intuitively, actively scrubbed from Internet spaces. Comfortable people develop comfortable philosophies. COVID was a way to sell, and reify a new lifestyle: the lifestyle of staying at home —a passive, plant-based, vegetative lifestyle. A lifestyle, where, if it feels bad, then it’s good. If pleasure has been squeezed out of our lives then we’re doing something right. In the quar-world, one does not want to feel too much, does not want to produce anything real; one is no longer forced to live in physical reality, thankfully.
