Social media turns us all into guilt-ridden mole people: convinced that — because traditional and social media are aflame with collective guilt — that we have to begin to castigate ourselves, demonstrate our sincerity and solidarity. Justice has never been served by bandwagon jumpers, trend-followers, and self-promoters. Why does everyone post about their participation in the protests? Why don’t they just go? Why do they need to be seen doing the right thing?
Remember when serious liberal politics in Minnesota meant railroading Al Franken out of office?
communism in your neighborhood
socialism in your city
liberalism in your state
libertarianism in your federation
What the world definitely doesn’t need is everybody using the language of academic structuralism to make their point about injustice.
