- I wonder if the whole ‘Trump is terrible for democracy’ slant is distracting us from all the other things that are terrible for democracy.
- Trump is stupid — but so are we. We live in a stupid culture so we have a stupid president. It seems like an act of bad faith to disown him for just being what we are — for being our creation.
- ‘The resistance’ — it’s so chique. If you’re poor, you have very little time, I think, to be a part of the resistance. If you’re taking a bus at 4am to clean toilets, you probably aren’t worried about how rude Trump’s twitter was.
- Armchair resistance: that’s what I’m talking about.
- We should think more about how we spend our money — that is a far more powerful way of changing the world than voting (seriously).
- If I could get rid of Monsanto or Trump — I’d choose Monsanto, in a heartbeat.
- Run for local office, run for your town council. Don’t complain, run. Or start a co-op to replace the corporation you work for. Do things.
