- I find the notion of being an ‘influencer’ to be creepy. What exactly are we trying to influence people to do? And to what end? Presumably our own profit — to the end of getting more attention. Influence seems conceptually inextricable from manipulation.
- I keep a blog mainly because I need something to do while I’m at work, stuck on my laptop; it is my way of taking back my time from my employer. I do as little work as possible. I don’t believe in work. We should all cheat work as much as possible. Most people do, only, unconsciously. We should do so intentionally. We should be very strict and disciplined in avoiding contributing to our corporate overlords.
- I don’t want to influence I want to poeticize. Radicalize.
- In a generation, the behavior of people on social media today will look absolutely bizarre. It’s only a matter of time.
- It’s not so much that people are stupid — it’s just that the never developed their capacity for intelligence. They preferred to let their intelligence die; devolve into stupidity.
- American stupidity is very active, aggressive. It is a virus. It destroys its host (the brain).
- If people traveled from the past or the future, to now, they would be embarrassed by the way we live.
- Tech culture is an oxymoron.
