  1. Thinking about thinking serves what end? Only more thinking. Metacognition replicates itself endlessly, like a primitive virus. It replicates itself unthinkingly.
  2. If there’s no pressure there’s no thought, just an anemic stream of mental chatter.
  3. What else should we do with our lives, but assault the lies which imprison the mind?
  4. We need ancient ideas just like we need ancient grains. Neither body nor soul are adapted to modernity.
  5. Where does the soul begin? Does it have a starting point? Does it having an ending point? Does it begin at all? Or is it (pure) potential?
  6. We are thoughts that think themselves.
  7. If society worked the way it’s supposed to, there would be no suicides. A community is meant to replace the void with meaningful practices and purposes.
  8. Scuff the art object up — dirty it. Then you can understand it.
  9. Clean the art object off — polish it. Then you can understand it.
  10. Remove all the signposts along the way of thought: only then ought you proceed.
  11. Cut all the images away from a dramatic text — just listen: that is the only way to judge the potential of a play.
