  1. Aesthetics is a question: what makes it beautiful? It’s like ontology: what makes it real? Or biology: what makes it alive? Or physics: what makes it move?
  2. In a few generations, will anyone remember how to pick a safe mushroom, or remember the names of herbs and flowers and trees? We all have more information now, but the information we have is inessential. In becoming dependent on technology and professional services, we become disabled.
  3. We use the words mind, soul, self, psyche, etc, interchangeably — which demonstrates our deep confusion about what is, what thinks, for us, as us.
  4. Hive-mind is a oxymoron. A mind is a hive.
  5. Performance art is ritual with more pretense and less community participation.
