  1. You can’t change your biology, you can only mutilate it.
  2. I always wonder why some people are only sexually and emotionally attracted to cold, soulless others; the desire for soullessness is almost more pernicious than soulless itself.
  3. I’m skeptical of those who say they live for other people — because other people are very unreliable objects of our care. There’s something almost unstable about people who have disavowed all forms of selfishness.
  4. Politics have replaced real community in America: we obsess over politics because it makes feel as if there is such thing as a polis.
  5. Finding wisdom is like striking oil
  6. The terms left and right, progressive and conservative are worthless; at this point, I’m just considered with finding interlocutors who can vaguely think for themselves — regardless of conventional policy positions.
  7. Isn’t microaggression just another word for human nature?
  8. There is something insufferable about people who think they know, as opposed to those who are content to admit that they are merely learning.
