- The Democratic establishment is viscerally disgusting: closing, for the second straight election, around a bad candidate with a poor-to-mix record because that candidate pay token lip-service to the glories of corporate liberalism. There’s one candidate with a good record and authentic message; the establishment runs blocking for the shitty candidate who makes non-Boomers feel hopeless.
- So let’s get rid of political parties. In the words of Hillary Clinton, “nobody likes” them. Republicans are neo-confederates; Democrats are neo-puritans; both are neo-liberals.
- The argument that Trump is so bad that non-conservatives should support ANY Democratic candidate is political bad faith: tacit cover political wrangling by the political machine.
- Power works to keep power, period; Democratic or Republican —
Trump paranoia is not an excuse to be hoodwinked. - America: a nation of suckers.
- Bernie: “We are taking on the establishment. And I fully understand, no great surprise to me, that establishment politicians are not going to endorse us.”
- The so-called “center” is just comfortable suburban people who don’t want their taxes to go up and don’t want to be forced to compost; it’s really just inertia and passive nihilism masquerading as balance.
